Antigua: $35,000 fines for St Johnston’s man
Two years behind bars if unpaid

A man from St Johnston has been ordered to pay a $35,000 fine after pleading guilty to a number of drug and firearms charges at St John’s Magistrates court.
Jalani Constant faces two years in prison if he doesn’t pay.
He was charged with possession of cannabis, possession with intent to transfer, being concerned in supplying of cannabis and possession of eleven rounds of 9mm ammunition.
The fine retaining to the ammunition was $5,000, with the remaining $30,000 handed down for the charge of intent to supply.
The other charges against him were withdrawn.
Constant was found in possession of the illegal items over the weekend, during a search conducted by officers attached to the criminal investigations department, narcotics and K-9 unit.
