PM Skerrit inaugurates 3 new sports courts at Windsor Park Stadium
Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit and other cabinet members inaugurated three more sports courts at the Windsor Park, Stadium in Dominica.

Roseau, Dominica: Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit and other cabinet members inaugurated three more sports courts at the Windsor Park, Stadium in Dominica.
Melissa Skerrit: Parliament Representative from Roseau Central, Minister of Sports Roselyn Paul and other cabinet members also joined the Prime Minister at the opening ceremony on Sunday.
Prime Minister Skerrit applauded the efforts of Melissa-Poppone Skerrit- MP from Roseau Central, for her continuous efforts towards the sports sector in the country. He stated that the government continues to invest heavily in developing all sectors of the country, including sports, health care and other public infrastructure.

Furthermore, he noted that the construction of the new sports courts would help people display their greatest talents in Volleyball, Netball and Basketball. He said the government is making all efforts to make developments in the capital city of Roseau, and already several improvements have been made.

PM Skerrit stated that indulging the youth in sports is extremely significant as they are nowadays keeping themselves more engrossed with mobiles and laptops. During the address, he asserted that the people must make the best use of the new sports facilities.
He said the government is making investments in improving several communities even during the global pandemic. PM Skerrit noted that he is unaware of other nations spending money on sports during a financial challenge.
Melissa Skerrit: Parliament Representative from Roseau Central constituency, stated that the government plans to build squash and boxing rings soon. She said a three by three basketball finals are also scheduled for next weekend, which will be an exciting three-day event attracting talent from all across the island.
