Premier of Nevis and Leader of Concerned Citizens Movement Mark Brantley addressed the nation on Saturday evening. While referring to the current political scenario, he stated that there are matters in the Federation that threaten to tear the nation's fabric apart.  He stated that the People's Action Movement (PAM) and Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) have given Prime Minister Timothy Harris a deadline to resolve the issues.  "The honourable Shawn Richards and I have delivered a written communication to the honourable Prime Minister, setting out our position for our path forward. We have taken the unprecedented step of putting a deadline of Wednesday, 20 April," stated Mark Brantley. He said by Wednesday, the PAM and CCM would know whether they can achieve a resolution or face dissolution.  Mark Brantley emphasized, "I remind the people that there is no I in Team and no me in Unity".  Describing the current political turmoil in St Kitts and Nevis, he said the People's Action Movement's national convention on 13 March 2022 and the People's Labour Party convention on 26 March 2022 showed that "all is not well".

"The Prime Minister and Leader of Team Unity made no attempts to get PLP, PAM, CCM together to resolve issues such as the concerns about keeping the promises to people, concerns about allowing PLP operatives to openly attack sitting members of the cabinet, transparency of the cabinet," said the CCM leader. Furthermore, Brantley stated that Team Unity was embraced by people in 2015 and again in 2020, but he regrets that it has lost the path.
"Alas, I regret to say that along the way, we lost our way; after years of efforts internally to resolve issues, the lack of commitment to finding a resolution has now created a public spectacle of which none of us can be proud,".
Brantley said Prime Minister Timothy Harris is not concerned about saving the Team Unity. He told PM Timothy Harris is a trained accountant, and still, he is involving the World Bank to manage the CBI share between St Kitts and Nevis. He stated that three parties, the People's Action Movement, Concerned Citizens Movement and People's Labour Party, came together under the "umbrella of Team Unity", offering a better way for the people of the country. "Team Unity was designed to emphasize the Team and oneness of purpose; it was designed to bring the people of St Kitts and Nevis together, and the decades-old tribalism and parochialism,".  He said three parties came together, keeping aside their political differences for the people of St Kitts and Nevis.
