Dominica: Minister Blackmoore shares progress on Massacre bypass access

Rayburn Blackmoore- Dominica Minister of Justice, Immigration and National Security provided an update on Massacre bypass access on Tuesday. He stated that the work is progressing at a satisfactory pace and is expected to complete soon.
Minister stated that the work is being done in preparation for very urgent culvert replacement works on the E.O. Leblanc Highway at Massacre, which will result in the closure of the main road for a few days.He stated that the section of the road is a major artery since the bulk of the country's population extends from Jimmit to the southern portion of Dominica.
"One, therefore, can begin to imagine the spectacular disruption that will emerge without that alternative bypass access. I want to thank the minister for public works and his technical staff for working with the member of parliament of Mahaut constituency in order to arrive at the best solution in the circumstances," he stated.
Furthermore, Blackmoore stated that the government of Dominica is futuristic and progressive in its planning. He stated that the new bypass as Massacre would achieve the overall sustainable development. He stated that the government is putting a great effort into ensuring that the roads in Dominica are safe and easily accessible.Latest
