A 31-year-old woman of Lower Hillside, San Fernando, who was arrested by police following the fatal stabbing of a man, was released from custody on Tuesday.

A 31-year-old woman of Lower Hillside, San Fernando, who was arrested by police following the fatal stabbing of a man, was released from custody on Tuesday.
The suspect was released following the instructions given by Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Ms Joan Honore-Paul, who advised that further investigations be conducted.Trinidad and Tobago police stated in a press release that the woman was arrested relative to circumstances surrounding the death of Reon Rogers, aka ‘Naughty’, who was found dead by police officers at his Orchid Gardens, Pleasantville apartment, on Thursday 17th June 2021.
The suspect was detained immediately following the discovery of the body. However, the investigations are still undergoing. Police officials stated that they are gatherings more evidence to file a charge sheet while they look for more possible suspects related to the fatal murder.The investigators are examining the eye-witnesses and also checking the nearby CCTV cameras to gather more information to find the real culprit of the occurrence.
Such incidents are increasing at a higher pace across Trinidad and Tobago; now, the situation is that people have started to feel unsafe in their own residences. Authorities are working to make the surroundings more safer and sound for the residents across the country.
