St Lucia: X-ray machines at Victoria Hospital are now functioning
Moses Jn. Baptiste Parliamentary Representative for Vieux Fort North stated that the X- Ray machine (ground mounted) at Victoria Hospital is back up.

Moses Jn. Baptiste Parliamentary Representative for Vieux Fort North stated that the X- Ray machine (ground mounted) at Victoria Hospital is back up and functioning after intense work during the weekend of September 17th to 19th 2021.
He thanked the Cuban health team members and other professionals from the United States of America for their assistance.Moses Jn. Baptiste stated that the Covid-19 Pandemic is wreaking havoc on Saint Lucian and Caribbean populations, with the Delta variant of the virus. He said with raise in Delta variant hospitalizations and unfortunate increased worldwide.
"The pain of losing loved ones to Covid-19 is enduring and shocking to all concerned." said Baptiste.
Furthermore, the Minister said the care for patients at the Victoria Hospital got some badly needed support, with the repair of the ground mounted machine which has been 'down ' and inoperative for some time. It is important for the doctors and medical professionals to get all the support which they need at our hospitals, to give our loved ones the best care possible.
"I will continue to encourage the team at the Ministry of Health Wellness and Elderly Affairs to work even harder to urgently repair basic equipment and to supply basic and essential services at our healthcare facilities island wide. Too many of our facilities and services were neglected. Let's fight Covid-19 together, let us be safe." noted Baptiste
He stated that the newly elected St Lucia Labour Party government team will continue to search for the cracks which were left in our healthcare system and attempt to fix them urgently, while we focus on the greater imperative of comprehensive healthcare reform.
