Nine Tablighi Jamaat members test positive for Covid-19 in Pakistan

At least 9 Tablighi Jamaat activists have been tested positive for the radical coronavirus in Pakistan’s Punjab province, taking the total infections to 6,506 inside the country, in keeping with a media report on Thursday.
The new cases emerged on Tuesday in one of a kind districts of the Punjab province. Two weeks back, 198 Tablighi Jamaat workers have been quarantined in Pakpattan, and 9 of them have tested fantastic, Dawn newspaper reported.
“Their test reviews were acquired, and of them, one tested tremendously for the virus in Pakpattan. Similarly, six different preachers tested positive coronavirus in Sahiwal, and two others tested fine in Bahawalpur,” authorities were quoted as saying within the document.
According to the Johns Hopkins University data, over 2 million humans are infected with the aid of the virus, and more than 136,000 people have died of the ailment globally.
Pakistan till now has reported a total of 6,506 confirmed instances of coronavirus with 123 deaths, the paper said.
Quoting sources, the file stated the district police has quarantined individuals of Tablighi Jamaat in a mosque in Dhoore Kote near Khairpur Daha.
One of them developed signs of coronavirus and later became the first case in the area, police said.
The different Tablighi Jamaat activist was also transported from a mosque to the hospital.
Earlier, the Tablighi Jamaat held a conference in Lahore in March, ignoring warnings through officials, and later its members spread the sickness throughout the country.
