After turning out as bad administrator Allen Chastanet now defaming St Lucia

A St Lucia resident said that Allen Chastanet has been a disaster for St Lucia, and he is defaming the country in every speech.

With his United Workers Party, Allen Chastanet was sworn in as the Prime Minister of St Lucia in 2016, but people rejected him in 2021. He is profoundly known as a St Lucian businessman who now serves as a parliamentary representative for the Micoud South constituency.

Chastanet lost the general election on July 26 2021, from the St Lucian Labour Party, which gained landslide victory with 13 out of 17 seats. His UWP won only two seats and faced a shameful loss.

A political leader takes the oath of Prime Ministerial position with the promise of serving people and working towards the country's development.

However, this is quite contrary for Chastanet as he became Prime Minister of St Lucia for five years, but neither he served the citizens nor he worked for the development of the country.

In fact, he only served and worked for the enlargement of himself. While portraying him as a businessman, the citizens of St Lucia stated that he only enhanced his business in the five-year tenure.

His administration has turned out as a big failure because of his inability to bring innovative ideas into reality. However, Chastanet somehow brings creative ideas to uplift his personal corporations.

In his entire tenure of five years, he was only busy flourishing his own business enterprises and multiplied his wealth by millions.

Allen Chastanet is currently serving as Managing Director of Coco Palm Resort - the Multi-luxury Rodney Bay. It is also owned by Allen Chastanet and his father, Michael Chastanet.

A disastrous government term As per the statistics, the economic conditions of St Lucia was lacking behind everywhere from 2016 to 2021. Residents faced incredible hikes in inflations as they have gone through difficulties in buying even their daily needs.

St Lucia has already witnessed the fall of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which was at its lowest phase from 2016 to 2017. By experiencing such a mismanaging and turbulent administration, people started cursing the UWP-led government and wanted rid of Chastanet. That's why, in 2021, people deposed him and grasped the opportunity for being Prime Minister for another five years.

However, after facing shameless loss, he is now indulging in defaming St Lucia and its culture in his several speeches. Moreover, he is tirelessly making efforts to bring down the country's image and its people. Chastanet's efforts of dirt politics have whistled the blower not only within the country but also among the international community.

A person who becomes cruse for St Lucia, now talking about the saviours of the country.Along with having the tag of poor administrator, Chastanet also turned out as a lousy opposition leader. His absence at the House of Parliament's first session on August 5, 2021, further has proved his bad image.

While justifying himself, Chastanet stated that he was on vacation with his family, which reflected him again negatively. Moreover, his management of the COVID-19 situation also presents him as a disruptive prime minister in the eyes of St Lucians.
