Melissa Skerrit announces 12 week Theatrical Training program for youth
Roseau, Dominica: Melissa Skerrit- Parliament Representative from Roseau Central constituency, met the Roseau Central Labour Youth Organization on Thursday. She discussed job opportunities for youth and proposed several plans to help out the youth. Melissa Skerrit announced a new 12 week Theatrical Training program for youth, "I am delighted to state that we will soon embark on a twelve-week Theatrical Training program administered by Mr Al Mathurin, who specializes in Visual and Performing Arts," said Melissa Skerrit.  She stated that a wide range of skill training would be offered in this program, including but not limited to scenic design, lighting, stage management, drama, costume design, production management, public speaking and interviews.  Melissa Skerrit said the training would also assist them in the writing of portfolio, CV and resume drama.
"I recently met with the Roseau Central LYO(Labour Youth Organization) and designated 2022 as a year of personal development, job opportunities and skills training. In so doing, I proposed a number of plans to assist the youth in attaining those goals".
People applauded Melissa Skerrit for her efforts to provide training and assistance to youth. She had been working tirelessly to facilitate the youngsters with new opportunities, programmes and more to give them a bright future.  Many took to social media, commending Melissa Skerrit for her efforts, a user named Charlie Charlie wrote, "Great job moving with the youth". Another user named Shai Mclawrence added, "This is awesome that's what you call a palrep". 

Besides this, Melissa Skerrit is paying keen attention to the development of sports in Dominica. The country is currently hosting OECS/ECCB International Netball Series at Windsor Park Sports Stadium. Countries from around the region are participated in these games, and millions of netball followers from around the globe are virtually watching the competition. It is the first international event being hosted by Dominica after the COVID-19 pandemic.
