Dominica health ministry announces special vaccination drive for public officers

The Minister of Health, Wellness and New Health Investment of Dominica announced its new vaccination drive for public officers.

The Minister of Health, Wellness and New Health Investment of Dominica announced its new vaccination drive specifically targeting public officers of the country. The special campaign is being carried out in collaboration with the Dominica Public Service Union on Friday, October 15, 2021.  The drive will begin 9 am onwards and continue till late afternoon at the Public Service Union Building in Roseau. The Health Ministry officials stated that public officers could get the first dose of AstraZeneca, Sinopharm and Pfizer. The second jab of the Pfizer vaccine will also be administered.  "Get simple, safe and effective protection against COVID-19. Help Protect Yourself, Your Coworkers and Your Family. Let's build resistance COVID-19 and get vaccinated," said the health ministry in a recent release.  Besides this, Cabinet Minister Rayburn Blackmore also invited people in Mahaut to come forward to participate in upcoming vaccination drives starting from October 15 onwards.  Vaccination Campaign in the Mahaut Consistency:
  • October 15 2021: Campbell Government Primary School (9 am onwards)
  • October 16, 2021: Esprit Murphy Health and Wellness Facility (first dose of all three vaccines including the second dose of Pfizer and Sinopharm to those who received the shot three weeks ago)
  • October 17 2021: Tarreau (1 pm onwards)
  • October 21 2021: Warner Government Primary School (9 am onwards)
