Trinidad: 15-year-old shot dead amid villagers quarrel in Las Lomas
The victim has been identified as Isabella Teelucksingh of Kacy Avenue, Savary Road.

Trinidad and Tobago: A 15-year-old became the victim of a dispute between two men, which turned violent in Las Lomas. As per the reports, the girl was mistakenly shot by a 45-year-old on Sunday and succumbed to her injuries on Sunday.
The victim has been identified as Isabella Teelucksingh of Kacy Avenue, Savary Road. It is reported that a man, aged 55, was at Sameer’s Mini Mart on Savary Road when the suspect identified as Sunil Ramjattan saw him and walked towards him, not to cuff him about the body.Following this, the suspect got into his silver-coloured Nissan Cube and drove home. While driving home, the suspect was stopped by some villagers who started an argument with him, following which he came out of the vehicle with a gun, firing a shot in the air.
The gunshot directly hit Isabella, her aunt and the family dog. The young girl was shot in the head while her aunt got hit in the pelvic area.
Isabella and her aunt were rushed to the hospital for treatment, but the former died on Sunday because of her severe injuries. Meanwhile, her aunt had to undergo immediate surgery.
The police officials have launched an investigation into the incident and are attempting to catch the suspect who not only killed the young girl but also injured her aunt and the 55-year-old man.
A resident of the village has described the suspect as a “village bully” and said that people are always afraid of him as bullying was his usual work.“People should know how to control their anger,” he added.
The family and loved ones of the 15-year-old are in a state of shock and described the young girl as “pretty, loving, kind, intelligent and ambitious”.
Her relatives said that she was a student of the Carapichaima East Secondary School and had significant goals set for her life. They are demanding that police officials catch the suspect and bring justice to Isabella.Latest
