Police appealed Tuesday for the public's assistance in apprehending the culprits involved in a sexual assault and armed robbery incident in Newton Ground in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.
A police statement said: "Around 3 a.m. three armed men entered the home of the victim, took her personal items and sexually assaulted her. The assailants then fled the scene in the victim's car."
The Police statement made no mention of the registration number and make of the vehicle.
The Police was also silent on reports that the husband and another family member were tied up while the rape took place.
