The housing revolution is among the most comprehensive projects which are entirely being funded by the nation's Citizenship by Investment Programme (CBI). Instituted in 1993, Dominica's Citizenship by Investment Programme (CBI) has been pivotal to rebuilding the country after Hurricane Maria. The programme's revenue went towards repairing schools, health centres, and most importantly, providing weather-resistant and resilient housing to its entire population. The programme also helps the island's mission to become the world's first climate-resilient nation – a feat vouched by the Prime Minister following Hurricane Maria. The development projects carried out by MMCE & Range Developments are not only helping Dominica's sustainable goals but also assists in the elimination of poverty in the nation. Both of the points come under the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (UN). PM Skerrit had affirmed that the project might cost the government a lot, but the investment is believed to be worth it as people's lives are more valuable than money. Successive Governments have gone via the paces of conducting appropriate studies, identifying appropriate sites, and buying land and property to prepare for construction. In fact, since our independence in 1979, each ruling Government has declared its aim to build an international airport in Dominica. But this Labour Party Government is going to deliver it a reality. Your Dominica Labour Party Government is set to get the international airport of the ground," the Prime Minister of Dominica noted. MMCE has also served in the construction of various community centres in the Caribbean region. Fundamentally, the construction of Marigot hospital is also among the flagship projects which encourage medical services in Dominica. Marigot hospital, a 40,000 square feet two-story medical facility with a 75-bed capacity that would give enormous medical facilities to the people, such as ambulatory services, intensive care unit, emergency care, maternity and pediatric care, radiology services, laboratory and trauma Centre. The MMCE is also concentrating on building the develop a National indoor Sports Complex, which would serve as a venue for both national and international sporting events. "We have one option, and the only option that is not going to place any weights on Dominica is the CBI option. This is why we have chosen to engage Dr. Haiden and MMCE in the discussion. We have every single determination that, based on the track record of MMCE, in terms of what they have done in Bellevue Chopin & the housing structures around the country, and apartment complexes and those going on right now, and our health centres, also everything else. So MMCE has a proven track record, & Government is of the opinion that MMCE is the best option," Meanwhile, Project Coordinator Dr McIntyre noted.
