Nassau, Bahamas: A woman who is believed to be in her 30s and officially identified as Krishna Stewart allegedly jumped to her death at the Eastern Paradise Island Bridge. The incident took place on Sunday afternoon.

According to the information, the woman was an employee at the Atlantis Resort and was also a wife and mother.

The video of the incident went viral on social media, with social media users urging the police to conduct investigations and find the reasons behind her suicide.

Police officials also reported that her body was retrieved from the water by occupants of a vessel in the area.

It was reported that they transported her to the Royal Bahamas Police Force Marine Unit for further assessment.

One of the boat operators, Trevor Wilson, who was responsible for retrieving Stewart's body from the water, shared this comment on a Facebook post from someone who expressed their condolences. He said, "Here's what police preliminary investigation uncovered so far: they had retrieved an adult female body from the water, and she appeared to be unresponsive at the time."

According to Wilson, the woman was given CPR, following which Emergency Medical Services also responded and attempted to save her, but their resuscitation efforts proved unsuccessful, and they determined that she showed no signs of life.

Meanwhile, Inspector Desiree Ferguson has encouraged those who face hardship or those experiencing mental health issues to seek help.

The social media users have expressed their condolences and called the incident 'awful'.

A user named Kimberley said, "MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES are a problem in our Country and need to be addressed; this is an issue."

Another user named Keva Smith wrote, "I knew this young lady from primary school. She is such a sweet person. Her sister and I graduated. Always smiling, love covers her kids and family, giving them the strength that they need. Rest easy, Butta."
