In a shocking incident, three Americans were killed and one was hospitalized in the Bahamas due to some mysterious causes. As per reports, the incident occurred at the renowned Sandals Emerald Bay resort on Friday. The individuals were two males and one female, as per the resort's statement.
A representative from the Sandals resort made the news public and expressed their condolences, and said the incident occurred on 6 May 2022.
"A health emergency was originally called, and following the protocols, we alerted medical professionals and suitable local authorities," the statement continues.
Furthermore, the statement added that the Sandals is working to help authorities with the investigations and also assisting the grieving families.
Reports suggest that dead bodies were discovered in two different villas at the Emerald Bay. When the authorities reached, they found a male unresponsive in the first villa; there were no signs of trauma discovered from the body. Following that, another body was found in the second villa where the body was slumped against the wall in a bathroom, while the female was found dead on a bed in their bedroom.
The resort authorities stated that the couple in the second villa was sick as they had reported their illness a day before the death. However, the cause of death remains unknown, and the investigations are undergoing.
The statement added, "Our initial investigations revealed that the couple found in the second villa complained of illness the previous evening. They attended the local medical facility, and on completion of receiving treatment, they return to their lodging."
Prime Minister of Bahamas Chester Cooper also released a statement later that evening, revealing that their is another victim who is hospitalized.
