Ernest Hilaire all set to attend World Travel Market in UK

Minister of Tourism St Lucia Ernest Hilaire is in London to attend the World Travel Market (WTM)- a trade show held annually during the first week of November. He said 20-years ago, he joined the then Tourism Minister Philip J. Pierre to WTM.

Sharing the two-decade-long journey, Hilaire said, "20 years ago, Hon Philip J Pierre invited me to join him as Minister of Tourism to attend World Travel Market (WTM) in London. I am attending this week as Saint Lucia's Minister for Tourism, and Honourable Pierre is now Prime Minister."

World Travel Market (WTM)[/caption]He said leading the transformation and growth of St Lucia's tourism industry is his duty, and he aims to give out the best to the people.

Hilaire also said that he would be addressing all the activities that took place on Sunday. He said the government of St Lucia is now working to bring back the cruise-tourism and the safety of the public is the utmost responsibility. Hilaire said all cruise ships passengers coming to St Lucia must be vaccinated and present a COVID-19 test on arrival.
