St Kitts and Nevis govt hands over 20 new homes in Stapleton community
Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis Dr Timothy Harris, handed over 20 homes under the homeownership programme.

The government of St Kitts and Nevis, under the administration of Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris, handed over 20 homes under the homeownership programme. The units include two-bedroom bungalows and three townhouses.
PM Harris himself handed over the keys in Stapleton community of St. Peter's on Friday. He said the Team Unity Party-led government continue to fulfil the promises it made to the people of St Kitts and Nevis. He called the homes "fundamental building blocks of happy families".
"I'm happy to be here today as we give more people a place to be blessed on the already very blessed islands of St Kitts and Nevis. Whenever we asked the people of St Kitts and Nevis to vote for a Team Unity Government, we knew we had to make good on our promise. The most important thing they told us was to build more homes for you, your family, your friends, your loved ones," said PM Harris.The Prime Minister said that not only is his government building more homes for the people, but it is also making sure that the homes are bigger than those built by the previous government.
"Today, we are delivering homes that range in size from 876 square feet on a two-bedroom home to 1,651 to 1,800 square feet on a three-bedroom home".Furthermore, PM said he is grateful to see the smiles on the people after receiving keys to new homes, "Wonderful to see the joy expressed by those families who received the keys to their brand new homes in St Peters". Even amidst the peak days of the pandemic, the government provided the biggest stimulus package that provided monthly income support to people impacted by the pandemic.
