5 killed and 120 injured as earthquake hits Iran

A size 5.9 earthquake struck northwestern Iran at an early Friday, killing at least five people and harming 120 others, authorities said.
The earthquake struck the Tark region in Iran's Eastern Azerbaijan region at 2-17 a.m. nearby time, Iran's seismological focus said.
A progression of size 4 post-quake tremors clatters the locale following the earthquake. Those living in the locale hurried out of their homes in dread.
The leader of Iran's crisis therapeutic administrations, Pirhossein Koulivand, gave the loss figures to state TV. There were no quick video or pictures communicate from the territory.
Rescuers have been dispatched to the locale, authorities said. It wasn't clear how broad harm was.
The U.S. Geographical Survey said the shake's focal point was at a profundity of 10 km. Shallow quakes will in general cause more harm.
