UK travel restrictions: List of Red, Amber, Green countries released
The United Kingdom has issued a new list for those arriving in the country from all across the world. The list has been categorised into three parts; Red, Amber and Green.

Red
Individuals who have been in red list countries in the last ten days will only be allowed to arrive in the UK if they are British or Irish nationals. People having permanent residence rights would also be allowed to enter the UK. People falling into this category would have to complete a passenger locator form, take a COVID-19 test and book a quarantine hotel package which will also include 2 COVID-19 tests.Amber
Non-resident and non-citizens of the UK can enter who were in Amber listed countries in the past ten days after completing a passenger locator form. Upon arrival in the UK, people will have to self-quarantine at home or their selected accommodation for ten days. Travellers require to get a COVID-19 test on or before day two and on or after day 8 of arrival in the country. Individuals under the Amber category also benefit from ending their quarantine early by taking a paid COVID-19 test if it comes negative.Green
From May 17, people arriving from twelve countries would be eligible to enter the green watchlist, which provides the option of no quarantine unless the test result is positive. However, isolation is mandatory for those for people to quarantine if the person whom they travelled with tests positive for the COVID-19 virus. The Green list countries include Australia, Brunei, Falkland Islands, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Iceland, Israel, New Zealand, Portugal, Singapore, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands and St Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha. The government of the UK stated in a recent declaration that people do not require to undergo a COVID-19 test or quarantine if they are travelling within the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. The relaxation is only applicable to those who have not been outside of the common travel area in the past ten days.Latest
