St Kitts and Nevis establishes diplomatic relations with Egypt
St Kitts and Nevis on Wednesday established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Egypt. Both countries signed a joint agreement.

St Kitts and Nevis on Wednesday established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Egypt. Both countries signed a joint agreement. Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley called it a "diplomatic win" for his country.
The agreement was signed by the Egyptian Foreign Minister of Egypt, Sameh Shourky, a Mark Brantley- the Premier of Nevis and the Minister of Foreign Affairs for St Kitts and Nevis.
Both foreign ministers had a meeting on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA)https://wicnews.com/caribbean/saint-kitts-nevis/mark-brantley-represents-st-kitts-and-nevis-at-76th-session-of-the-un-general-assembly-030837746/
in New York early on Wednesday.
Mark Brantley tweeted, "A diplomatic victory for #StKitts #Nevis as we formalize relations with #Egypt. Truly an honour to meet with Foreign Minister HE Sameh Shoukry in the margins of #UNGA76 in New York and to discuss how our two nations can now create stronger and deeper ties #DiplomacyMatters."
The meeting comes just three days after St Kitts and Nevis celebrated the 38th anniversary of its independence from Britain, which it attained on 19 September 1983.
During the meeting, both ministers discussed methods to begin the bilateral connections between the two countries as well as to organize efforts and stands in the international forums.
