St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew expressed his pride while handing over a new fleet of vehicles to the officials of the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force. He said that the government aims to enhance the security on the island nation and these vehicles will assist the officers to commute easily. The vehicles were handed over during a handing over ceremony held on Thursday at the Police Training School. The six new vehicles were given to the Police Commissioner James Sutton. [caption id="attachment_69079" align="alignnone" width="2048"] Fleet of vehicles provided by PM Terrance Drew[/caption] While sharing glimpses of the ceremony, PM Drew said, “Earlier today we had a symbolic handing-over ceremony at the Police Training School for a new fleet of vehicles for the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force.” He added that the Government of the Federation remains steadfast in its dedication to the safety and security of every citizen. He also said that this strategic investment, the Labour Party reinforces its commitment to ensure a secure environment for all the residents.

According to PM Terrance Drew, the fleet of vehicles are more than just transportation as they represent the unwavering support of the administration for the law enforcement officers and their tireless efforts to keep the communities safe.

He also vowed that the government would continue to make meaningful investments towards the security and safety of its citizens.

PM Drew outlined that these vehicles would enable the law enforcement officers to be more effective in terms of security coverage in the communities and so forth. He also said that the government has invested significantly in national security which includes expanding the CCTV programme as well as the reopening of the police station in Dieppe Bay.

In addition to this, the Prime Minister said that administration is also working on the Charlestown Police Station in Nevis to enhance the safety measure on the sister island.

Following the handover of the vehicles, the citizens and residents of St Kitts and Nevis lauded the PM for investing in the security sector.
