KLM Royal Dutch to increase flights to Trinidad for Winter 2024-25
The KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has disclosed its plans to increase flights to Port of Spain, Trinidad from October 27, 2024

Trinidad and Tobago: The KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has disclosed its plans to increase flights to Port of Spain, Trinidad. The airline will now provide its services six times a week which is an increase from three times a week.
The services will be provided from Amsterdam (AMS) via Sint Maarten (SXM) for the winter season 2024-25, beginning from October 27. The airline said that the triangle route will continue everyday except Saturday with the service running through March 28, 2024 with adjusted flight timings.
According to the Tourism officials of Trinidad, the route has been successful since its reintroduction in October 2021 after a long halt of almost 30 years. They added that it has attracted nationals, visitors from the Asia and Benelux region and passengers also get the chance to connect to other parts of the Caribbean as well as South America.
The airline outlined that the average load factor has steadily increased and has reached around 92 percent from January to March 2024 which has resulted into the more seats being allocated to Port of Spain.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines further said that this is a welcome opportunity to lure more tourist arrivals as the country continues its efforts to fully rebound to pre pandemic levels.
In addition to this, the Minister of Tourism of Trinidad and Tobago, Randall Mitchell said that he and his team has been advocating for an expanded services in January 2023 when they met with the officials of KLM in the Netherlands. He added that at that time, the airline expressed its satisfaction with the route’s performance saying that it performed above their expectation.
While announcing the development on his official Facebook account, the Minister said, “Exciting News for Destination T&T. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will be increasing its flights to Port of Spain, Trinidad for the Winter 2024/25 season. Starting October 27th, they will operate 6 flights per week from Amsterdam (AMS) via Sint Maarten (SXM).”
Minister Mitchell stated that since then the airline has seen it fit to put additional services on this route as it experiences major growth.
