The first goal for Panama's account was by Thomas on his own goal in the first half, after a good play by Edgar Bárcenas.
Panama dominated the entire game, but as in their debut against Barbados, they did not have the power to convert their chances into goals.
The team of the Spanish-Danish Thomas Christiansen started the match with many variations in terms of his debut in the qualifying rounds, but the changes did not improve the game of the Panamanian team.
The first goal comes just half an hour ago, in a crossbar from Bárcenas that ended up in the nets after he bounced the leg of Dominican defender Briel Thomas.
At the start of the second half, the Panamanian team scored their best minutes, winning in dynamics and depth, and managed to score points with greater clarity than at the start of the match.José Fajardo had the best chance to extend the score, first with a shot to the post and later, in a solo lead against the goalkeeper, but ended up on a dismissed shot.
César Yanis was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was met beautifully by Prince, but the ball bounced off the post to safety.
Despite the Panamanian rule, Dominica approached the Panamanian territory on one of the few occasions, scoring the equalizer in the 81st minute.
After stealing the ball from the Panamanian backside, after a weak kick by the goalkeeper, Laville fired from outside the area to score a goal after hitting the Orlando Mosquera goal post.
The Panamanian reaction was immediate and four minutes later Christiansen's team scored the winning goal, the work of Fajardo.
With this victory, Panama is second in Group D with 6 points, the same as the Dominican Republic, while Barbados, Dominica and Anguilla are tied at zero.
