Sports: The final matches of the March series of the first round of the Concacaf World Cup qualifier for Qatar in 2022, started with Guyana bouncing back from a defeat against Trinidad and Tobago with a 4-0 victory against the Bahamas on Tuesday in the Estadio Olimpico Felix Sanchez in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Terence Vancooten's goal in the eighth minute was the only thing that separated the teams after 45 minutes, but Guyana was able to make the Bahamas disappear and take control in the second half. Kadell Daniel doubled the lead in the 54th minute, and Omari Glasgow took third place in the 75th minute, his first goal for the Golden Jaguars. Emery Welshman then found the net in the 81st minute to clinch the victory.

With the win, Guyana can keep the hope of coming off Group F. The Bahamas, with two defeats in March, are still hanging on to an outside shot, but will need victories against Puerto Rico and Trinidad and Tobago in June and will achieve other results way.

Belize 5 Turks and Caicos Islands 0

Belize scored its first win of the cycle, beating the Turks and Caicos 5-0. Carlos Bernardez passed just before the end of the first half and did so again in the second time with a goal in the 48th minute, which increased the margin after substitute Jesse August passed in the 47th minute.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines 3 British Virgin Islands 0

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines also claimed their first win in WCQ, which scored a 3-0 result against the British Virgin Islands on Tuesday night. Richmond Kickers talisman Oalex Anderson started the score early with a goal from the 10th minute, and just 11 minutes later, it was Zidane Sam who came on the leaderboard.

Four minutes after entering the game, substitute Azinho Solomon put the game out of reach of BVI and ensured that the Vincy Heat victory could begin with an 86-minute attack.

Grenada 1 US Virgin Islands 0

A goal from the 33rd minute by Saydrel Lewis was the difference when Grenada beat the US Virgin Islands. This is the first victory for the Spice Boyz led by former Canadian assistant Michael Findlay.

They will look to build on the momentum when they go to Antigua and Barbuda and finish the qualifier against Montserrat with Group A, which everyone can still claim. This also applies to the USVI, although they need a win against Montserrat and El Salvador, and the results to keep their outlook to keep the prospect of Qatar in play.

Barbados 1 Anguilla 0

Barbados and Anguilla looked like they would be on a stalemate until the Bajan Tridents could take advantage of a solid lead in the 81st minute. Ryan Trotman, making his first start for Russel Latapy's men, sits in the service, and Emile Saimovici jumps to win the ball and head into the decisive goal of the match.
