Barbados reports additional 2 deaths due to COVID, both were unvaccinated
Two additional persons have succumbed to the COVID-19 infection in Barbados on Wednesday while they were under treatment at the Harrison’ Point Isolation Facility.

Barbados: Two additional persons have succumbed to the COVID-19 infection in Barbados on Wednesday while they were under treatment at the Harrison’ Point Isolation Facility.
The first person is identified as a 52-year-old man who was scammed to the COVID-19 infection in the primary isolation section, where he was admitted for three days. The person had no history of chronic illnesses and was unvaccinated against the virus.
The second person is an 85-year-old woman who was under isolation for 10 days and had comorbidities. She was also unvaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. The death count in Barbados now stands at 71 since the first case was reported in the country.
Apart from this, Barbados has reported 199 new cases of COVID-19 (96 males and 103 females) from the total 2,351 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. According to data provided by the government, 65 individuals are under the age of 18 and 134 are over the age of 18 who are tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
There are over 858 patients in isolation and others are under home quarantine.
According to government sources, Barbados has reported 8180 confirmed cases of COVID-19, which includes 4026 males and 4154 females as of Tuesday. The Public health laboratory has so far performed 315,319 tests to date.
134,122 persons have been administered the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the country under the national vaccination programme. And so far, 103,846 persons counted as 38.3% of the population have received their second dose and are considered as fully vaccinated against the viral illness.

· Mile-and-a-Quarter Seventh Day Adventist Church, Mile-and-a-Quarter, St. Peter
· Christ Church Parish Church Hall. Church Hill, Christ Church
· Princess Margaret Secondary School, Six Roads, St. Philip
The community pop-clinics will be:
·Holy Innocents Church Hall, Welchman Hall, St. Thomas - 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
·Barbados Public Workers’ Cooperative Credit Union Ltd., Belmont Road, St. Michael - 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
·Indian Ground Resource Centre, St. Peter - 1:00 to 5:00 pm.
The mobile unit will be at the following locations from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm:
·Drax Hall, St. George
·Limegrove Cinemas, Limegrove, Holetown, St. James
