United National Congress celebrates 32-year anniversary

United National Congress celebrated their 32nd anniversary on Friday and stated that they have been champion of the people

United National Congress celebrated their 32nd anniversary on Friday and stated that they have been champion of the people by battling all and sundry to ensure every citizen gets their equal rights in all sectors. United National Congress, in a long Facebook post, stated that it was founded on the tenets of love, unity and brotherhood to bring hope to Trinidad and Tobago.  "Today, that hope is needed more than ever as our citizens cry out for justice over runaway crime, equal opportunity for employment, and protection from the ravages of the Covid pandemic." stated the United National Congress. 

Celebrating its 32 years, UNC stated that it has been the champion of people, battling all and sundry to ensure that every citizen is accorded their equal rights to health, wealth and happiness.

Under the leadership of Kamla Persad-Bissessar: 2010 -2015 It added that during power in the Prime Minister's office under former PM Kamla Persad Bissessar of UNC, the country and people saw unprecedented growth and improvement in standards of living targeted initiatives for the poor, differently-abled and all children for five years from 2010-2015. The UNC'S proven track record of development and growth throughout Trinidad and Tobago can still be seen in the 102 schools that were built, the hospitals, health centres, community centres and physical infrastructure of the network of roads, bridges and highways that were constructed, as well as the thousands of laptops that were given to students, added the party. UNC stated that during their tenure, they provided special social grants were created to assist and empower women and those in need "As we celebrate our 32nd Anniversary, we the people of the UNC reflect on our myriad accomplishments and triumphs, as well as the work we still need to complete, as the battle rages on today as we continue to fight for truth, justice, for unity and prosperity for all and not just the chosen few, as we serve all citizens of our beloved nation of Trinidad and Tobago," stated UNC.
