In addition to this, Miles Bascombe, the Director of cricket of Cricket West Indies, said that this year’s CG United Super50 Cup and T20 Blaze will be a significant chance to build on what was started in 2023, with the launch of the West Indies Women’s Academy. He also noted the commendable performance of the U19 Women’s team in the inaugural ICC Women’s Under 19 Cricket World Cup in 2023 and said that he is looking forward to exceptional performances by all the teams during the upcoming matches.

Bascombe added that this year is a packed year in the women’s calendar with three away bi-lateral series in Asia as well as the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Bangladesh.

“The females have an ideal opportunity to put their names forward for selection in any of these squads, and we are all looking forward to some amazing performances in St Kitts,” he added.
