The Alexandria police in St Ann, Jamaica have launched an investigation into the incident.  The citizens and residents of Jamaica have expressed their condolences to the man who was a farmer from St Ann. Through a comment on Facebook, a citizen named Andrea Alexander said, "This is too much. I remember when my son took sick, and Danny rushed with him on his bike to save his life; now you are gone. Such a humble, kind person. Rip Danny" "This man saved me from hunger so many times I'm still in disbelief. Danny gone but not forgotten," wrote another citizen named Trecia-gaye Berbrick.  It is also to be noted that at least 14 people have lost their lives to road accidents since the start of 2024. St Ann has recorded the highest number of deaths so far is four.  The Road Safety Unit of Jamaica is urging caution on the country's roadways following the growing number of fatalities.  The Director of the Unit, Deidrie Hudon-Sinclair, has also urged road users to change their behaviour while driving on the road.  She outlined that when one leaves his home, the intention is to get to the destination safely and come back home. Sinclair added that road users must make sure that they cut out any type of distractions or unnecessary actions which could lead to a crash or a fatality and think about their families and who they want to go home to.  "It is also very important that we learn the road code and abide by it," she said.
