Port of Spain prepares to welcome passengers of Jewel of the Seas today

As the luxurious cruise Jewel of the Seas, a gem from the Royal Caribbean's fleet, is all set to grace the coasts of Trinidad and Tobago once again on March 26, the island prepares to host the visitors at the "Promenade Experience!" at the Brian Lara Promenade, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The cruise will dock in the capital city Port of Spain with the Local Economic Development (LED) Committee of the Port-of-Spain Corporation, along with the city itself, extending a warm welcome to all passengers and crew members of this splendid cruise.

While extending an invitation through its Facebook account, the Port of Spain City Corporation said, "Let's demonstrate to the world that Port-of-Spain is a city of hospitality and Trinidad and Tobago is a preferred destination for globetrotters."

The Promenade Experience features everything local and showcases the rich history, culture and traditions of the twin island nation. The officials said that cruise visitors will get a chance to step into the vibrant heartbeat of Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

"Indulge in our mouthwatering cuisine, immerse yourself in our multi-cultural history and feel the infectious rhythms of the music. Your journey begins with warmth and excitement; get ready for an unforgettable adventure in paradise," they further added.

The Jewel of the Seas has been making calls to the island every Tuesday since the beginning of the cruise season 2023-2024. Last Tuesday, Port of Spain welcomed Royal Caribbean's Jewel of the Seas with 2427 passengers, of which 665 enjoyed pre-booked tours to several of Trinidad's iconic sites and attractions. The cruise has shown its immense trust in the destination and is injecting significantly in the twin island nation's local economy. Every Tuesday, a large number of passengers indulge in pre booked tours, giving business to local taxi drivers, tour guides, restaurants and markets.

The vessel will continue to make visits to Trinidad and Tobago till the end of the thriving cruise season.
