After the 24-year-old girl who was found dead in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on Sunday, police is now searching for her boyfriend on suspicion of murder.
Victim's sister alleged that Evelyne had informed her she was going out with her partner, but she never returned. She suspects that her boyfriend Joseph ‘Kiki’ Obed forcibly got her drunk and set up the whole kidnapping scenario to make money from the victim's family.
Sources suggest Joseph Obed have fled the country and is now hiding in the Dominican Republic.
Jean Fleury Raymond, a judge of peace stated that from the appearance of Evelyne's dead body, it is assumed that she was brutally beaten and sexually harassed.
The high-school senior was kidnapped and criminals asked for a $100,000 ransom, while the victim's sister arranged to raise $15000 funds to free her sister, the bandits rejected the amount and the girl was later found dead at a garbage dump in Delmas on Sunday.
As per officials, at least seven people were told to be kidnapped in Port-au-Prince in the past three weeks. However, Sincère was the only woman and four were released by other criminals.
In two other kidnapping incidents, a person named Pastor Éniel Alfred and his son, are still being held confined on an $800,000 ransom after being captured in Carrefour on Sunday.
