One critical while more tests positive for COVID-19 in Antigua and Barbuda
Antigua and Barbuda received five new coronavirus cases on Saturday. The results were received from St. Johns Medical Centre (MSJMC) and the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA).
Antigua and Barbuda is also running vaccine drives as earlier this month it received 22,000 doses of Oxford Astrazeneca coronavirus vaccine from WHO's COVAX mission with an alliance to GAVI.
Earlier in March, Antigua had received around 40,000 doses of vaccine from India as part of its vaccine Maitri Initiative that aimed at assisting under developing countries with free coronavirus vaccine. The country further shared the vaccine with the sister island of Grenada.
India had delivered more than 200,000 doses of vaccines to the Caribbean region with Dominica being the first receiver of 70,000 doses.
