St Kitts and Nevis: Minister of Agriculture and Sports Samal Duggins joined the celebration of the 75th Republic Day of India at Tiranga Authentic Indian Cuisine. He said that such celebrations showcase the significance of diplomatic relations.

During the celebrations, he met with Honorary Consul Ramesh Mulkanoor and High Commissioner Dr Amit Telang, who shed light on how these connections fortify the nation.

He further outlined, "In an ever-evolving world, these relations serve as a cornerstone, helping us keep pace with advancements and global changes."

The Minister also stressed on the relations between St Kitts and Nevis and India. He said that as a steadfast friend, India shows the power of such alliances.

"Through diplomatic channels, we gain global partners with significant influence, capable of advocating for us in spaces where our voices may be muted or where we lack voting privileges," he added.

Duggins also said that the voice of India amplifies the Federation's, which ensures that their concerns are heard and respected on the international stage.

The Minister further highlighted that in spaces where St Kitts and Nevis cannot cast a vote, India stands as an advocate, championing their causes and representing their interests. "This underscores the critical role diplomatic relations play in navigating global challenges and fostering a collaborative environment that benefits our nation and its people. Here's to the enduring strength of friendships forged through diplomacy," said Duggins. In addition to this, Honorary Consul Ramesh Mulkanoor and High Commissioner Dr Amit Telang are in St Kitts and Nevis on an official trip and Telang also presented his credentials to Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew.

The Indian officials also had a discussion with Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Denzil Douglas, during which both ministers discussed ways to expand both nations' collaboration with each other.
