Grenada is gearing up to host the highly anticipated 'Up From Here' Concert on February 2, 2024, at the National Cricket Stadium in St George, with gates opening at 7 PM.  This inaugural event is part of Grenada's 50th Independence Celebration and will feature various bands showcasing the nation's deep cultural heritage. The Concert will begin at 8 PM with no tickets and no additional charges for the visitors.  This would be a fun-filled concert comprising many fans, artists, over 50 performers, and seven diversified live musical bands who will set the stage on fire with their unique performances and exceptional talents. The Concert is hosted by Grenada's national festival committee, which will showcase the nation's exciting journey with a grand celebration of 50th Independence through several dance and musical performances presented by the young talents.  The Local and International artists and bands across Grenada will add grace to the event. The Festival Committee launched the official poster of the Up From Here Concert earlier on Tuesday. The organisers have invited the audience and urged them to book their spots as early as possible.  Reportedly, the media launch of the Concert was observed on Wednesday; during the launch, the project manager, Shrivon Redhead, informed us about the uniqueness of the Concert.  She said, "It is truly walking you through the different eras of Grenada and the evolution through that, and that takes the shape of folk-dance presentation, Soca music, Calypso, the Moko Jumbies, just prepare to sit on everything Grenadianism." Further, she also said the event would be super encouraging and family-friendly, which would please everyone to take part and dance to the rhythms of these soca calypso artists. Being the 50the Independence Celebration Concert, Adrian Thomas- the Minister of Tourism, the Creative Economy and Culture, said the creative industry is very dear to the government and knows this Concert will create an impact.  Further, in his address, he also delivered that it will encourage and play a critical role in putting the infrastructure in place so artists can see their talent and make it a reality.
