Dominican PM Roosevelt Skerrit meets Serbian leaders, aims to expand partnership

The Prime Minister of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, had a fruitful discussion with the Serbian leaders, President Aleksandar Vucic and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic. The meeting was held on Thursday in Belgrade. During the meeting with the President, the Dominican leader discussed development of bilateral relations in areas of mutual interest, geopolitical affairs and economic cooperation. President Vicic also extended a cordial invitation to PM Roosevelt Skerrit to attend EXPO 27 and thanked him for supporting Serbia’s successful bid to host the prestigious event. PM Skerrit also shared glimpses of the significant meeting on his official Facebook account and added that he also met with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabic.The Prime Minister engaged in friendly talks with Serbia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dacic. Both the leaders agreed to increase cooperation in areas of mutual interest between the two countries during the meeting. PM Skerrit said that he is seeking to expand its partnership with Serbia in the fields of agriculture and higher education. The Foreign Affairs Minister thanked Dominica for its principled positions on international issues and respect for the basic tenets of international law.The recent engagement of the Dominican PM showcases his commitment and dedication to enhancing international relations and expanding them for the benefit of the small island nation. As PM Skerrit shared glimpses of his meeting on his official Facebook account, the citizens and residents of Dominica lauded him for his continuous work on engaging with international partners. “True to secure scholarships. The more Caribbean people study in countries other than the ones we are familiar with; then there are more opportunities for mutually beneficial investments in the future,” wrote a user named Augustus Uwi, while another user said, “Mr. PM, thanks for the information. Dominica is blessed, and you are blessed by God for all the good things you are doing for the people of Dominica.”
