Singer and father of actor Cuba Gooding Jr found unresponsive in car
Singer Cuba Gooding Sr has been found dead aged 72.
According to reports, he was found dead in his car in the San Fernando Valley on Thursday.
Cuba Gooding Sr was father to actor Cuba Gooding Jr, who won the Oscar for best supporting actor in Jerry Maguire back in 1997.
TMZ is reporting that the singer, famous for the 1972 hit Everybody Plays the Fool, was slumped over in his silver Jaguar.Drug paraphernalia and bottles of alcohol were found in the car but the cause of death is still under investigation, said coroner's assistant chief Ed Winter.
Toxicology test will be undertaken.
LAPD officials found no signs of foul play.
