St Lucia to have a home cruise port in the south of the island

PM Chastanet announced that the government is moving ahead with plans for a home cruise port in the south of the island.

Castries, St Lucia: Prime Minister of St Lucia acknowledged the contribution of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) to the country's economy and development. Allen Chastanet stated that industry has provided extensive employment to youngsters in the country. The new updates were shared by the St Lucian Prime Minister in his recent Facebook post. He stated that St Lucia has achieved so much in the south of the island with investments in unique sectors such as the BPO industry. He stated that the Business Process Outsourcing has the Freezone abuzz and employs hundreds of young people and the start of the airport project. Prime Minister stated that the work continuing on St Jude and community projects such as playing fields, human resource centres, and health centres are also through BPO. PM Chastanet announced that the government is moving ahead with plans for a home cruise port in the south of the island. Mentioning his recent visit to the United States, he said he met David Candib, Vice President, Development & Operations, Carnival Corporation, Armando Corpas, Sr. Director Project Management, Global Port & Destination Development, Carnival Corporation and T.J. O'Sullivan Director, Project Development, Destination Development, Royal Caribbean Group. Prime Minister stated that the cruise industry is still very excited about this project, and we continue to work closely with them and are committed to making it happen for Vieux Fort and Saint Lucia.
