Hilaire said he visited with the Commissioner of Crown Lands to identify and start discussions to address the unplanned settlements on crown lands in the constituency.

"There is no greater instrument of empowerment than owning land, a piece of Saint Lucia. We are going to have a follow up discussion next week and then look into the Morne La Toc and Goodland's settlements," said Hilaire.
He stated later on Wednesday; he also visited some communities with an assessment team from the Department of Infrastructure to identify works that are needed to reduce flooding and mitigate against landslides.
The Deputy Prime Minister also had talks with the Carnival stakeholders discussing the possibility of Carnival in 2022.
Besides this, on Thursday, he met the Indian Cultural Foundation. I am sure in the future, a lot more will be heard from the Foundation, and it will surely play a critical role in our development process.
"Friday was largely focussed on an internal review of the Cabot Development to achieve a comprehensive understanding of what was planned and what has happened. More will be said later. I was also the guest of honour at the Rotary Club of Castries, where I delivered a presentation on the topic, "Reimagining Tourism : Setting a new agenda for a sustainable future", wrote Hilaire on Facebook.

On Saturday, he attended the Beaujolais Nouveau 2021 Festival at Faye Gastronomie Caraibes in Vieux Fort. The Festival is an annual wine festival held all over the world to celebrate the end of the winemaking season.
