Champs 2024 in its full glory, Dockery reinstated in game

Justice was served in the playgrounds of Champs 2024. Sabrina Dockery, the track star of Lacovia High School, was reinstated in the games after being disqualified due to accusations of a false start.
Upon releasing the qualifiers list, Dockery was charged with a false start in the preliminary round of Champs 2024. Due to this, she lodged a protest in front of the jury. Later, after being reinstated, she continued participating in the seventh round. She stood victorious in the same with a record-breaking time of 11.90 seconds.Dockery was reinstated in the qualifiers for the semi-final round. She entered the event with fifth rank in her class with a time of 11.45 secs. Besides Dockery, a few other students are performing exceptionally well in Champs 2024 and have made their place in the semi-final event of the Championship.
Thieanna-Lee-Terrelonge won her heat within 12.15 seconds, holding the fifth rank and securing her spot in the semi-finals. Briana Campbell and Dockery became the only athletes with winning times under 12 seconds in Champs 2024.
In the Boys’ Class One 100m, Damor Miller stood first, leaving others behind with a time of 10.60 seconds. Omarion Barrett, Hector Benjamin, Deandre Daley, Yourie Lawrence-Clarke, Raheem Pinnock also made their spot in the semi-finals.
In the boys’ Class two 100m, Johan Ramaldo Symthe topped the heat with 10.65 seconds. Nyrone Wade and Kyle Bodden also progressed to the semi-finals, along with Tavaine Stewart, Malike Nungent, and Tyreece Taylor. A few others showcased their impressive performances in Champs 2024.
As the championship progressed towards its semi-final on the second day of competition, the police force outlined strict guidelines for attendees. Restriction on smoking, firearms, knives, etc. has been issued.
Traffic routes will be diverted due to the ISSA Championship which will be held at the National Stadium in Kingston. The traffic routes will be changed from March 19 to March 23. This has been done to facilitate the smooth operation of the Championship 2024.Latest
