St Kitts and Nevis records 33 cases of COVID-19 in 24 hours
St Kitts and Nevis on Thursday recorded 33 new cases of coronavirus. The country now has 689 active cases of the virus.

The number of coronavirus cases in St Kitts and Nevis increased in 2021 after authorities suspected community transmission of the virus. The country also recorded nine virus-related deaths.
The authorities stated that over 893 people have also recovered from the virus. The number of confirmed cases in Nevis is 292, which is relatively lesser than 1297 cases of COVID-19 in St Kitts.
The ministry of health St Kitts and Nevis, stated that over 33,935 people tested positive in coronavirus testing.
After a sudden spike in infections, the government had closed down the schools in the country. The government recently indicated that the institutions would be reopened for face to face classes under different categories designed for emergency purposes.St Kitts and Nevis is currently observing a night curfew that will end on 22 September 2021. The curfew starts from 1 am and remain till 5 am every day.
All businesses were allowed to open under the COVID-19 guidelines; it is mandatory for organizations and shops to ensure that people wear face masks, maintain social distancing. Besides this, all mass gatherings and private parties are prohibited.
St Kitts and Nevis is also listed in the "Level-4" category of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), after the new spike in cases.To ensure no further increase in coronavirus cases, the government set new protocols for cruise ship passengers, where cruise guests are not allowed to freely walk on the streets of the country. A special bubble is created to keep the guests out from interacting with the general public. Recently on Tuesday when Celebrity Equinox docked at Port Zante, the general public was prohibited from visiting the tourist attractions from 6am to 6pm
