Guyana: Decomposed dead body of a murder suspect found in Cummings
The Guyana police discovered a decomposed body of a man in fields in Cummings, police said the man was wanted in connection to the murder of his wife.

The Guyana police discovered a decomposed body of a man in fields in Cummings. As per reports, a farmer informed the police on Monday that while he was grazing his cattle at Enmore backlands, he observed a mosquito netting in the bush and upon checking, he saw the partially decomposed body of a male.
He was accompanied by an Inspector and a party of Policemen to the area where, on arrival, the body of the deceased was in an advanced stage of decomposition, clad in a red jersey, blue short pants and black cap and lying under a light blue mosquito netting on some cloth and salt bags.
Two bottles of insecticide were seen next to the body. The scene was processed and photographed. The body of the deceased man was identified as 56-year-old Vijaimal Raj by his son, Besham Raj.
As per reports, the deceased Vijaimal Raj was wanted by the police for the murder of his wife, Savitri Raj, just over a month ago at Foulis, East Coast Demerara. The police is yet to comment on whether it was a suicide or a murder. The dead body has been sent for postmortem, after which the real reasons will come to light. The officials are also trying to gather information from people who live around the area.
