Guyana: 12-year-old girl steals weed from father, takes it to school shared with another student

The girl attends secondary school in Bartica where narcotics were discovered in her socks on Wednesday at around 13:00 hours. Inquiries disclosed that on the above-mentioned date and time, the acting Head Mistress of the said school received information that students from Grade 7 were in class with narcotics.
As a result, she searched and unearthed two zip lock transparent plastic bags containing cannabis concealed in the socks of the 12-year-old female student. The student was questioned, and she related that she got the cannabis from her friend, another 12-year-old female student of the said class who claimed that she stole it from her father. As the she is underage, WIC News cannot disclose the indentity. The father was contacted and admitted that he had the cannabis since he smokes “weed”. They were all interviewed and sent away to return at 10:00 hours on 2022-06-23 to be escorted to the Childcare and Protection Agency.The incident has left everyone outraged as, leaving everyone question how can an irresponsible parent leave narcotics in such a close proximity to a kid.
