Scandal-hit presenter dropped by Fox News
Sexual harassment claims against Bill O'Reilly led to advertisers withdrawing
Thursday, 20th April 2017

Fox News have said Bill O'Reilly will no longer present his show after numerous sexual harassment claims were directed at him.
In a short statement, the network said: "After a thorough and careful review of the allegations... Bill O'Reilly will not be returning."
Pressure on Fox has built after reports surfaced that five women had received US$13m (£10m) in payouts because of Mr O'Reilly's behaviour.
Following the allegations his show, The O'Reilly Factor, lost more than 50 sponsors.
O'Reilly – who denies all the allegations – has been on holiday since 12 April. Yesterday he was photographed shaking hands with Pope Francis at the Vatican.
The decision to drop O'Reilly comes after an emergency meeting of the 21st Century Fox board, according to New York Magazine.
In a later statement Fox said Tucker Carlson will be taking over O'Reilly's slot.
The O'Reilly Factor drew nearly four million viewers per night.
