Private Jet with celebrities on board crashes in Dominican Republic
Nine people were killed after a plane crashed in Las Americas airport, the Dominican Republic, on Thursday. Helidosa Aviation Group stated that the incident occurred in the capital city of Santo Domingo.
According to the Helidosa, which owned the aircraft stated that they "regret the tragic accident."
The Gulfstream GIVSP that crashed at the airport was carrying seven passengers and two crew members on board. As per local media reports, the private jet crashed after attempting an emergency landing due to a malfunction after taking off from another airport near Santo Domingo for Florida.
The AFP news agency stated that six of the passengers on board were US citizens.According to the airline and local media, Flow La Movie, a Puerto Rican music producer, was also among those killed.
Jose Angel Hernandez and Debbie Von Marie Jimenez Garcia were among the passengers named by the airline.
According to Dominican newspaper Listin Diario and music magazine Billboard, Hernandez produced music under the name Flow La Movie and Jimenez was his wife. The 38-year-old had become a well-known figure in reggaeton, a Caribbean music genre that has gained fans all over the world. According to local media reports, Jayden Hernandez, the music producer's son, was also among those on board.
