Businessman killed after Saturday night shooting on Nevis
Police investigation underway

There has yet to be official confirmation from the police.
The Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force have only identified the victim as a 63-year-old male. WIC News understands that the man shot was Benjamin Joseph, a resident of Pinney’s Beach.Joseph is the owner of a guest house in Charlestown.
The incident was reported just before 8pm.
“Investigations revealed that he was shot by an unknown assailant(s) upon exiting his car on arrival at his residence,” the police force said in a statement.
The victim was taken to Alexandria Hospital by a family member, they added.
One source told WIC News that he saw police processing the crime scene and remove several spent shells“The police encourages any person who may have information with regards to this incident to come forward and share any information they may have,” the police public relations office said.
“Information can be passed to Violent Crimes Unit (Nevis) at 469-5269, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS) or by using the SKN Crime Reporter app on your smartphone.”
