Trinidad and Tobago to host Calypso Queen Competition 2024

Trinidad and Tobago: The 38th Annual Calypso Queen Competition 2024 is all set to make its return to Trinidad from January 21st- 24th, 2023, at Queen's Hall, Port of Spain, Trinidad. This Event will be held under the theme, 'Beautiful, Colourful, Powerful Queens of Calypso' and will be presented by the National Women's Action Committee. It will be open for the general public appearance from 4 PM, with ticket prices starting at $200. The Calypso Queen Competition will be held in honour of the famous and legendary singer and songwriter Ella Adall. The Event will feature 17 famous and well-known Calypso Artists who will set the stage and fight the battle to win the crown of Queens of Calypso. These Young beauties and Calypso Queens will grace the stage with their shining, colourful, powerful performances. During the Event, visitors will also have a chance to explore and immerse themselves in the famous Caribbean Cultures and heritage. The organisers have invited and encouraged people to book their slots, participate in this festivity, and explore the world of the Calypso Music Industry. About National Women's Action Committee (NWACC) Reportedly, the National Women's Action Committee of Trinidad and Tobago works in collaboration with the National Action Cultural Committee (NACC) and the National Youth Action Committee. Over the years, the organisation has hosted these competitions to empower women and provided a platform for youth development in the calypso art form. It has also NACC encouraged young artists to research the relevance of Emancipation to the development of people.
