St Vincent and the Grenadines: A woman’s body has been found by police officials in her yard with chop wounds.

According to the police reports, around 11 am, the eldest child of the woman saw her mother lying in a brutal condition following which he started shouting, resulting in neighbours arriving on the area.
The victim has been identified as Carona Jennings and she is said to have given birth to twin babies around three months ago.
The neighbours then called the police officials who investigated the entire area and collected items of evidential value. The police saw the woman who had already succumbed to chop wounds.
The police officials have now launched an investigation into the discovery of the body and is suspecting that the crime has been committed by a man. It is also being said that details regarding the circumstances of her death remain unclear.
Notably, the death of the woman brings the homicide toll for 2024 to seven in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
In addition to this, the recent homicide has sent a wave of shockwaves across the island with citizens expressing their concern over the crime situation on the island. People are urging the government to control the situation at the earliest and make it a safe haven for everyone.
Through Facebook, a citizen named Shantal Samuel said, “It's heart breaking to see her lose her life and now her kids has to grow up without their mother sad.”
Another social media user wrote, “Bad man and running go hide. Do the crime and face the law. Poor soul and the kids. Omg sad moment.”
