St Vincent and Grenadines: The Long-distance runner and athlete Zichri Hepburn has made his place in Grenada for the Carifta Games 2024.

St Vincent and Grenadines: The Long-distance runner and athlete Zichri Hepburn has secured a spot in Grenada for the Carifta Games 2024. The 51st edition of 2024 CARIFTA is scheduled at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium from March 30 to April 1, 2024, in St George in Grenada.
Hepburn won the 5000m at the Pamenos Ballantyne Distance & Jumps Classic and qualified with a time of 16:44.07s. The athletic team of St Vincent and the Grenadines proudly shares this achievement for the nation and sends the youngest enthusiast to represent his nation.
Over the previous weekend, the youngest athlete and Under 17 runner from St Vincent and the Grenadines, Tyrha Charles, also secured her spot at the CARIFTA Games 2024 after competing and representing herself and her nation at the St Kitts Athletic Challenge Series 5.
She clinched the gold in the 200m race by qualifying at 24.32 seconds and is now all set to represent herself in the CARIFTA Games 2024 in Grenada.
Notably, Zichri Hepburn is an under-17 athlete and a shining star of the Barrouallie Secondary School. He is also a High-Performance Track Club member and has represented himself dominantly under 17 and 18 matches at the regional and national levels.
Some of his previous and one of his best performances include winning the U17 Boys 800m in 2:01.07 in June 2022.
In March 2023, Hepburn became the premiere middle and long-distance runner in his age group in the country. He brought gold in 2022 from the Friendship Games in Martinique in the 1500m race to his home island and has successfully qualified for the Carifta Games in the 5000m.
Earlier, he also represented himself at the 50th edition of the CARIFTA Games scheduled for April 7 to April 10, 2023, and played exceptionally well. This year, he is all set for the CARIFTA Grenada 2024.
Over his consecutive achievements and selection in the CARIFTA 2024, several users congratulated him and expressed their pride and support. They also wished all the luck and love for this international tournament.
