St Kitts and Nevis government warn public of 'inclement weather'
Schools closed across federation
The Ministry of Education has announced that every school in St Kitts will be closed today.
The decision was taken due to the passing of a tropical wave.
In a statement from the government, people were warned to stay where they are if they are in a safe place
"The general public is advised that as a result of the inclement weather that is being experienced and the unsafe road conditions the government of St Kitts-Nevis has decided that in the interest of public safety, there will be no work for the rest of this morning," the government said.
"Residents are advised that if they are at a safe place they should remain there and not risk their lives to cross ghauts [sic] that might be flowing heavily."
