Saint Lucia bags 30 nominations in World Travel Awards 2024

These nominations show the island’s commitment to excellence in the travel and tourism sector. The World Travel Awards is a distinguished honour which supports, promotes, and develops the tourism industry by identifying and rewarding the well-deserved practitioners.

Saint Lucia has secured a total of 30 nominations in the prestigious World Travel Awards 2024, in six different categories. These nominations show the island’s commitment to excellence in the travel and tourism sector. The World Travel Awards is a distinguished honour which supports, promotes, and develops the tourism industry by identifying and rewarding well-deserved practitioners. Last year also, Saint Lucia won the 2023 Caribbean titles for the Leading Adventure Tourism Destination, Leading Nature Destination and Leading Honeymoon Destination, marking its reputation as a sought after travel destination in the world.

This year the island has secured six nominations under the Caribbean category which are as follows:

  • Leading Adventure Tourism Destination
  • Leading Cruise Destination
  • Leading Destination
  • Leading Honeymoon Destination
  • Leading Nature Destination
  • Leading Luxury Island Destination
Following the nominations, the CEO of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, Lorine Charles-St Jules said that the recognition serves as a testament to the exceptional offerings and experiences which the island nation provides to travellers.

She added that the tourism authority see the World Travel Awards 2024 as another major chance to secure the highest recognition in the travel industry.

In addition to this, several of Saint Lucia’s distinguished service providers have also bagged nominations across various categories which are as follows:
