Police officer in St Kitts and Nevis charged with rape
Cop suspended from duty

Officials in St Kitts and Nevis have confirmed that a police officer has been arrest, formally charged and cautioned on suspicion on rape.
WIC News understands that the arrest relates to an incident that took place on Sunday, 18 June.A steatement from the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force said: “The incident was reported to the police, and an investigation was initiated.
“The charges were brought as a result of the findings of the investigation.”
The officer at the centre of this case has been suspended from duty pending the of the outcome of the case, authorities added.
The name of the victim and the suspect has been withheld due to the nature of the allegation.
At the end of 2016 a police officer police constable and a a soldier were charged with rape in Nevis.
